The HKU Foundation First Year Excellent PhD Award 2023/24 is open for application! The First Year Excellent PhD Award, funded by the HKU Foundation, gives due recognition to PhD students who have excellent performance during the probationary period. Up to fifteen awards, in the form of a certificate and a cash prize of HK$5,000, can be made each year to PhD students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance by publications or other forms of research outputs, prizes/awards, patents, or other notable form of accomplishments. PhD students whose probationary period has been confirmed in 2023 are eligible to apply by submitting an application to the Faculty Office by January 31, 2024. Click here for details.
The HKU Foundation Publication Award for Research Postgraduate Students 2024, funded by the HKU Foundation, gives due recognition to RPg students who have published a journal article of exceptional quality. Up to twenty awards, in the form of a cash prize of HK$5,000, can be made each year to RPg students who have published a journal article of exceptional quality in a research area related to the thesis study. RPg students who are interested to apply for the Award should submit an application to the Faculty Office by February 29, 2024. Click here for details.

Rohto Advanced Research Hong Kong (ARHK) is now calling for applications for the 2023 Rohto Mentholatum Awards. Award selection is based on any ideas proposed in healthcare aspects, with potential contribution in science and public. All PhD holders and students in any of the tertiary institutions are eligible to apply. RPg students who are interested to apply for the Award should submit an application to the organizer by December 31, 2023. Further details are available on the ARHK website.
