  1. Explore and choose your programme
  2. Check application details
  3. Prepare the application
    • Prepare supporting documents
    • Take required test(s), if any
    • Identify two academic referees and ask for their consent
  4. Apply online
    • Create an account in the Online Application System
      Refer to the Operational Guide for the step-by-step procedures.
    • Fill in the online application form and upload supporting documents
    • Pay for application fee and submit the on-line application
    • If some of the required supporting documents are not available at the time of submission,
      upload the documents to the Online Application System once the document is available
  5. Track your application
    • Check your application and referees’ report submission status via the Online Application System 
    • Look out for email correspondence from HKU
  6. Application result announcement
    • An email will be sent to you once there is an update to your application status
    • Applicants can also check the application result via the Online Application System
  7. Accept your offer
    • Accept offer via the Online Application System
    • Submit required documents for conditional offer
    • For non-local student, check student visa requirement and start the application process if needed
    • Start planning for arrival such as accommodation, bank service, etc.
