HKU Fresh PhD Graduate Recognised by British Academy
Muhammad Shujahat – a 2022 PhD graduate from the Lab for Knowledge Management & E-Learning of the Faculty of Education – has been recognised by the British Academy as a Global Talent with Exceptional Promise in Business and Management Studies. After graduating from HKU, Muhammad joined Essex Business School at the University of Essex, UK as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Business and Management this October. During his study at HKU from 2018 to 2022, Muhammad made a number of prominent achievements under the supervision of Professor Maggie Minhong Wang. He authored several impactful research papers in renowned journals such as Technovation. He also authored two Web of Science ESI Top 1% Highly Cited Papers. Recognising his research efforts, the Faculty of Education at HKU awarded him the Research Postgraduate Student Best Publication Award in 2021 for his seminal work on job-design characteristics for greater knowledge-worker productivity (published in the prestigious Journal of Knowledge Management). Since May 2022, Muhammad has been serving as Executive Editor of Knowledge Management & E-Learning, a Scopus-indexed journal ranked 163 and Q1 in Education.
