Launch of Wellness Ambassador Webpage and Wellness Support for RPg Student
Pursuing a research degree is an exciting yet challenging journey. The Graduate School seeks to provide preventive education and encourage peer-to-peer support among students. Resonating with the theme of the research postgraduate (RPg) wellness initiative in the 2023/24 academic year, titled “Ask Again” “知疼著熱”, we encourage students to persistently support and care for one another, fostering a sense of community among RPg students.
Research Postgraduate Wellness Ambassador Programme
We have gathered a group of passionate RPg students to serve as Wellness Ambassadors for their academic unit, and we are excited to share with you the launch of our Wellness Ambassador webpage. Whether you want to learn more about wellness initiatives around the University or are simply looking for a friendly chat with fellow students, feel free to get in touch with our Wellness Ambassadors!
Monthly Wellness Activities
Activities covering essential aspects of wellness relevant to the study context of RPg students are offered on a monthly basis throughout the academic year. These include academic workshops, sharing sessions, art workshops, student-led activities and many more. Look out for our email announcements and visit our Future-Ready Series webpage for details. Stay tuned and come along with your friends!
Wellness Support Services
Apart from sharing your concerns with supervisors, mentors and peers, you may also refer to our mental wellness webpage for resources and support services available within and outside HKU. In particular, please note that CEDARS-CoPE offers tailor-made educational programmes and different support and counselling services to help students. The Psychological Services Unit (PSU), under the Department of Psychology, also provides comprehensive clinical and educational psychology services and produces psycho-educational materials.
Always remember that support is around. Do reach out if you encounter difficulties and need help!
