Research postgraduate (RPg) students assigned teaching and/or assessment duties by their Faculties/Departments/other units are required to attend the training course Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education offered by the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TALIC) in the same semester, if they have not previously completed the course.
Application Procedures
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Around 24 classes, arranged into 6 cohorts, will be offered each academic year. Online course registration generally opens 4 to 5 weeks prior to the start of each cohort. Please refer to the website of TALIC for details of the course and registration arrangements.
Course Exemption
Students who are able to provide documentary evidence of having obtained equivalent teaching skills training may apply directly, on the recommendation of their supervisors, to TALIC, for exemption.
