The Graduate School aims to take the role in providing preventive education to nurture positive mental health, and encourage peer-to-peer support among research postgraduate students. Taking a wider perspective, the “Future-Ready Series” is launched in the 2023/24 academic year to promote all-round development to breed future-ready talents.
The Research Postgraduate Wellness Ambassador Programme aims to foster a healthy and resilient RPg community in HKU. To build on the idea of peer-to-peer support in advocating a culture of wellness among students, Wellness Ambassadors play a vital role in promoting wellbeing to fellow students and serve as a contact point for students in the academic unit who may need advice or assistance on wellness issues. They will receive free mental health first aid, communication skills and mindfulness training, and have the priority to enrol in the wellness activities under the “Future-Ready Series”.
Feel free to get in touch with our Wellness Ambassadors. They will be more than happy to share their personal experience and listen to your stories.
