Registration
- Online Master Registration and Student Registration Card
- Report in person to the Faculty Office on or before Registration Date, and submit the following documents:
- A clear photocopy of your Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID), Passport or Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao (往來港澳通行證) that contains your English name (only the side with the holder’s personal particulars and photograph is required); and bring along the original for verification
- Photograph submission form for the student registration card, including a colour photograph of yourself taken within the last 6 months and other required document(s)
- A signed Research Ethics Declaration Form
- A copy of your Notification Slip for Entry Visa/Permit (e-Visa) and Landing Slip (sample) (if applicable); and bring along the original for verification

Orientation
- The Inauguration Ceremony for new students on 30 August 2023
- The Graduate School offers a module ‘GRSC6100 Doing Research @ HKU’, which acquaints new RPg students with the mission of HKU postgraduate education and provides them with a broad overview of the basics of conducting research at HKU. This module is compulsory for MPhil and 4-year PhD students, while 3-year PhD students are also encouraged to attend. You can enrol for the module following the course selection procedures
