HKU Foundation First Year Excellent PhD Award 2023/24
I am pleased to invite applications from PhD students for the HKU Foundation First Year Excellent PhD Award 2023/24.
2. With the generous donation from the HKU Foundation, the Graduate School established the HKU Foundation First Year Excellent PhD Award to give due recognition to PhD students who have excellent performance during the probationary period. Up to fifteen awards, in the form of a certificate and a cash prize of HK$5,000, can be made each year to PhD students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance by publications or other forms of research outputs, prizes/awards, patents, or other notable form of accomplishments.
3. All PhD students whose probationary period has been confirmed in 2023 can apply for the Award. Applicants should submit a completed application form, a two-page CV, and supporting documents to the Faculty Office by January 31, 2024. Each Faculty/independent Institute may nominate up to two candidates, in order of priority, to the Graduate School by February 29, 2024. The terms of reference and application form are posted on the Graduate School homepage.
