Call for Nominations – Dissertation Year Fellowship
The Dissertation Year Fellowship is a prestigious programme to enable selected outstanding PhD students, after thesis submission and examination, to pursue an additional year of training at the University as a full-time PhD student to bring his/her doctoral research to a higher level before graduation. The fellowship allows more time for the students to work on his/her research and improve publication, and helps students to find better job after graduation. Outstanding full-time PhD students who have submitted a thesis for examination may be nominated by his/her primary supervisor to be considered for the fellowship.
2. Each fellowship holder will receive (a) a Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS) equivalent to the HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship (viz. $27,100 per month for 2022/23) for up to 12 months; (b) conference support for up to $13,500 per year; and (c) a waiver of the continuation fee during the fellowship period.
