Graduate School 25th Anniversary Logo Design Competition

The Graduate School is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. To commemorate this important milestone, the Graduate School has launched a Logo Design Competition.

Submit your entry by 15 November 2023 for a chance to win HK$6,000 and have your design printed on our anniversary souvenirs.  The Competition is open to all HKU students, staff and alumni.

Submission Requirements

Logo element
  • The logo design should include the 25th Anniversary element.
  • Reflect the Graduate School’s pursuit of first-class research postgraduate education to nurture future talents for our society.
Submission format
  • All entries must be presented in A4 (210mm x 297mm) document size, in PDF format with 300 dpi output resolution. 
  • The file size should not exceed 10MB in total.
  • Both colour and black/white versions must be included.
  • Each participant can only submit 1 entry, and must provide a brief description to illustrate the design concept within 200 words in English.

Judging Criteria

A panel of judges will review the submitted designs based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity 
  • Aesthetic quality 
  • Applicability
  • Manifestation of a meaningful message 

 

Prizes

Gold: HK$6,000 

Silver: HK$2,000

Bronze: HK$1,000

 

Terms and Conditions

  • Entries must be original and free from infringing on the rights of third parties.
  • Participants must be the sole owners of the intellectual property rights of the design.
  • Entries must not have been used for other purposes or by third parties.
  • By joining the Competition, participants agree to assign the intellectual property rights to for Graduate School of the University of Hong Kong.
  • The winner will be required to submit the original file for high-quality printing.
  • The organiser retains the right to amend and revise the winning logo design.

  • ·         The organiser is entitled to implement the design, ideas and concepts of the winning entry for events pertaining to the 25th anniversary or any other future projects of for Graduate School of the University of Hong Kong.


Results will be announced in December 2023.  The judging panel members chosen by the organiser have the final decision on the results of the competition.
