2023 Young Scientist Awards

To: PhD and MPhil students in the Faculties of Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine and Science, and their supervisors

The Hong Kong Institution of Science (HKIS) is now inviting applications for the 2023 Young Scientist Awards, with the objective to nurture the growth of science and technology in the region. The Young Scientist Awards award one winner and one honorable mention in each of the following fields:

(a) Physical/Mathematical science
(b) Life science
(c) Engineering science

Each award winner will receive a cash prize of $10,000 while honorable mention $5,000 and a certificate of recognition. All research postgraduate students who are pursuing a PhD or an MPhil degree in any of the tertiary institutions in Hong Kong are eligible to apply for the awards. Students who have graduated within 2 years are also eligible.

All submissions should reach the Honorary Secretary, Dr. K.S. Leung at bckleung@polyu.edu.hk on or before 31 July 2023
